Verse of the Day
September 4, 2021
James 5:13 NIV
Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.
Reflection
Prayer
Praise be to you God our Father who is Almighty and loves us greatly. Thank you so much for this new day that You have provided us with love and care. Forgive me God for my sins committed in thought, word, and deed. Help me to live with joy in your sight, understand your words, and plant them in my heart and mind that it will be a guide to you.
Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ, for redeeming my sins and shortcomings. Forgive me for my sins that caused your crucifixion and death on the cross. Help me to resist temptations to be pleasing in the sight of the Father and to be worthy of what you have prepared for us. Imitate the qualities you have taught and shown us.
All praise and worship are only for you our God Almighty. In the name of your only Son Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.

Respond, don't react
Whatever problems we face in this world let us humbly pray to the Father. Let us ask for courage to overcome them. Nothing can help us more than the blessing and mercy of Father, our God. Through our prayers, we gain more confidence in ourselves that all will be well. There are many ways for Him to help us. It can be people around us, family, friends, or sometimes strangers who have a clean heart and are willing to obey God's will. Ways we don’t expect to serve as instruments that will help us overcome trials.

The plan of the Father is beyond our control. Only He knows what will be the best thing for us and controls everything. Let us focus with all our energy, mind, and heart on the method of the Father. Nothing happens in the world without His permission. Let us trust in His love for us that He will never forsake us.

Everything that happens in our lives let us accept with a prayerful heart that He is with us forever so that His plans for us may be fulfilled. Respond, don't react. It is a reflection of our character as to how we should deal with the various events in our lives. Even this is not according to our plans. There are reasons why this happens and it is definitely for our good.

Sometimes the situation is very difficult to understand and we run out of energy to understand everything even though we have done our full part to be well. Let's just trust in the Lord. Let's trust in His process. All of our obedience has great grace from the Father. There is no greatest gift of eternal life with contentment and joy even in the few years we live in trouble. That is still short compared to the eternal life He will give us who obey and trust in Him. So let us stand firm in any trial and rejoice in His presence that in any time and situation we fully trust Him.

When we rejoice in our lives let us not forget to thank the Lord. Just waking up in the morning is a wonderful blessing from the Lord. Let us praise Him and thank Him for His blessing, insatiable love, and guidance for us. The Lord is so great and so pure in His intention to each of us. He deserves our praise and adoration at all times. He is always faithful to His words and we can hope, with people who love God, that no matter what trials we face, He will never leave us and forsake us. He is truly omnipotent.
May the blessing of our Almighty God be with you always. In the name of our only Savior Jesus Christ, who was crucified and died for our sins. Amen.
