GIVE THANKS TO THE HOLY ONE

Verse of the Day

September 29, 2021

James 3:13 NIV
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.

REFLECTION

Prayer

Praise be to you, Lord God. Thank you so much today for your care and love for me. Please forgive me for my sins committed against you. Please help me to live a life pleasing to you Lord. May your words always prevail in my heart and mind to be my guide on the journey towards You. Lord, may you always give me the courage and always trust You at all times. May Your will always be obeyed and not my will.

Thank you so much for Your Son Jesus Christ who atoned for our sins and will save us from death. May we always follow His teachings and exhortations so that we may live pleasingly in Your sight.

All praise and worship are only for You Dear God. In the name of Your Son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

"Obedience"

Our obedience to our God can be seen in our living and especially in our speech. Our tongue is very powerful. It is only a small part of our body but it is dangerous. It can bring good to other people when you speak of God's goodness. But it can also do harm to other people when you say the words of Satan.

Let us always strive to use our mouths for the praise of God. We strive to be pleasing in His sight because we do not rejoice in evil deeds and it brings us only sorrow or guilt.

Good works bring happiness to the Lord. The intellect that comes from the Lord is only virtue such as love, patience, self-control, perseverance, understanding, and many other such qualities.

But the result of bad living is jealousy, anger, strife, remorse, lying, and many more. That is from the devil and not from God's knowledge. Let us suppress our ugly behaviors no matter how difficult it is. The good seeds must prevail in our lives and grow so that we can be completely pleasing to God.

In the coming of judgment, all our effort and perseverance to please God has a good gift from Him. Let us continue to live according to the word of God. He has given us the intellect to know good and evil deeds so that it is our endeavor to live.

Earthly resources are lost, depleted and disregarded in eternal life. If you love earthly treasures rather than accumulating good deeds as heavenly treasures it only proves that you are not heavenly but earthly.

Let us examine carefully what we value most to see if it is pleasing to God who is the cause of our life. Let us worship, honor, thank Him and obey His words. There is nothing better for it than to always put God first.

JAMES 3

1My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

2For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

3Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.

4Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.

5Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

6And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

7For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:

8but the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

9Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.

10Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

11Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?

12Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

13Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

14But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

15This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

16For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

17But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

18And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
May the blessing of our Almighty God be with you always. In the name of our only Savior Jesus Christ, who was crucified and died for our sins. Amen.

What Does The Bible Say About Faith Tagalog / Filipino Bible Verse | Give Thanks To The Holy One

Give Thanks To The Holy One What Does The Bible Say About Faith  Ang pananampalataya ay ang katiyakan na matatanggap natin ang mga bagay na inaasahan natin. Nararana
