 GIVE THANKS TO THE HOLY ONE

Verse of the Day

September 25, 2021

Proverbs 17:28 NIV
Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues.

REFLECTION

Prayer

Praise be to you, Lord God. Thank you so much today for taking care of and guiding me along with my loved ones. And to my brothers and sisters in faith, may you guide them and give wisdom and strength in their lives especially those who do not yet know and accept you as the true God. May their hearts and minds be opened and trust in your power and love that you are the true God who will reign forever.

Forgive me Lord for my sins and shortcomings. May your words always be planted in my heart and mind so that I may live with joy in your sight. May your will be done and not mine. May you help me to gather your words as a reminder to those who believe and trust in you.

All praise and worship are only for you, Lord God. In the name of your Son, Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.

"Seek Wisdom From God"

If we are lacking in wisdom let us humbly ask the Lord through fervent prayer. And let us keep in our hearts the peace which He has given us. The Lord is pleased with those who keep the peace. Only fools seek trouble with each other.

As believers in God, let us strive to imitate His character and follow the teachings and words of Jesus Christ that come from Him. The Gospel records the attributes of our God and how we should be pleasing to Him through the teachings of His Son Jesus Christ.

Our God is always good, faithful, loving, kind, merciful, caring, and He has many other good qualities. He is always ready to listen to our grievances so that we may always have hope in Him. But the Lord hates people who are liars, deceivers, adulterers, thieves, judgmental, and other evils like this that He does not like.

As human beings, we have weaknesses that sometimes are overcome by evil spirits. But as believers in Jesus Christ, we do not enjoy evil deeds. We are not completely happy because we know it is not pleasing to God.

Our conscience serves as a guard against our wrongdoings. So we try to change it and until we are completely changed because of our faith in Jesus Christ. A good tree bears good fruit. As believers in His Son Jesus Christ, may we bear fruit according to the will of God.

Always pray and give to God our sincere worship. We must always think of the goodness of God. The good seeds planted in our being should always prevail in our lives and overcome the evil seeds sown by the devil.

PROVERBS 17

1Better a dry crust with peace and quiet
than a house full of feasting, with strife.

2A prudent servant will rule over a disgraceful son
and will share the inheritance as one of the family.

3The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold,
but the Lord tests the heart.

4A wicked person listens to deceitful lips;
a liar pays attention to a destructive tongue.

5Whoever mocks the poor shows contempt for their Maker;
whoever gloats over disaster will not go unpunished.

6Children’s children are a crown to the aged,
and parents are the pride of their children.

7Eloquent lips are unsuited to a godless fool—
how much worse lying lips to a ruler!

8A bribe is seen as a charm by the one who gives it;
they think success will come at every turn.

9Whoever would foster love covers over an offense,
but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends.

10A rebuke impresses a discerning person
more than a hundred lashes a fool.

11Evildoers foster rebellion against God;
the messenger of death will be sent against them.

12Better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs
than a fool bent on folly.

13Evil will never leave the house
of one who pays back evil for good.

14Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam;
so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out.

15Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent—
the Lord detests them both.

16Why should fools have money in hand to buy wisdom,
when they are not able to understand it?

17A friend loves at all times,
and a brother is born for a time of adversity.

18One who has no sense shakes hands in pledge
and puts up security for a neighbor.

19Whoever loves a quarrel loves sin;
whoever builds a high gate invites destruction.

20One whose heart is corrupt does not prosper;
one whose tongue is perverse falls into trouble.

21To have a fool for a child brings grief;
there is no joy for the parent of a godless fool.

22A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

23The wicked accept bribes in secret
to pervert the course of justice.

24A discerning person keeps wisdom in view,
but a fool’s eyes wander to the ends of the earth.

25A foolish son brings grief to his father
and bitterness to the mother who bore him.

26If imposing a fine on the innocent is not good,
surely to flog honest officials is not right.

27The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint,
and whoever has understanding is even-tempered.

28Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent,
and discerning if they hold their tongues.

God Bless!

May the blessing of our Almighty God be with you always. In the name of our only Savior Jesus Christ, who was crucified and died for our sins. Amen.

What Does The Bible Say About Faith Tagalog / Filipino Bible Verse | Give Thanks To The Holy One

Give Thanks To The Holy One What Does The Bible Say About Faith  Ang pananampalataya ay ang katiyakan na matatanggap natin ang mga bagay na inaasahan natin. Nararana
