Forgiveness is a best practice for other people especially ourselves. This will help us to have a peaceful and positive outlook on life. It is very pleasing to God because God is love. Love includes forgiveness along with understanding to have good relationships with all people. Our Lord is not pleased when we quarrel or retaliate against each other with wrong words and deeds. But try to talk about everything in the right words for a good relationship. We don’t do it because of them or any other reason. We do this because it is pleasing to the Lord God who first forgave us of sins because of His perfect love for us.
If a person's sin is against the law you can consult it and have the appropriate punishment but if it is in the emotional and differences of each of us it is better to pray to God that He will help and guide us to follow His wishes than to quarrel and have strife with each other.
It is not easy to forgive we have to go through the healing process. Others take too long to forgive because of the extreme pain or trauma they have experienced. We need to bring our feelings closer to the Lord. He alone can help us and give us new strength and new hope. Let us always pray day and night, read His words. He may want to teach us something that will strengthen His kingdom or our own. Let us pray always and all pain will heal spontaneously at the right time. He has no ill will toward us. All His plans for us are for good only. Let us trust in the Lord God.
When we forgive other people even if they don't ask for our forgiveness, it feels so good, we free ourselves. This is a wonderful gift we can give ourselves. Aside from the fact that it strengthens us, we learn even more in life. And most importantly the Lord is pleased with us and that is reason enough to forgive our neighbor. No matter how much pain you experience. Go on with your life and use the lessons you have learned to improve yourself and please our Dear God. True forgiveness brings good to our neighbor, to ourselves, and above all to the Lord. Do not seek evil or any retribution to get rid of the pain, as it will further plunge you into grief.
May the blessing of our Almighty God be with you always. In the name of our only Savior Jesus Christ, who was crucified and died for our sins. Amen.
