GIVE THANKS TO THE HOLY ONE

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY

AUGUST 17, 2021
TUESDAY

Matthew 6:7-8
And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

Praying to our Lord should be from the heart, with reverence and humility, not in vain words. Even before we say our prayers, the Lord already knows what we want and need in life. He gives it not because our prayers are too long but because it is for our good. Sometimes when we pray, because we really like something we are too naughty, sometimes we cry because we really like that thing or we ask why He doesn't give us what we ask for, until sometimes we lose hope or desire to pray that again because nothing happens in what we pray for.
But prayer is not about the things we want things to be. Prayer is approaching the Lord so that we can know Him better and be closer to Him with or without grace. Because even if our prayer is short, if it is good for us, He will surely grant it to us. God is truly loving and merciful especially to those who keep His commandments. But the mind of man is not His mind. He knows better what is best for us. We just have to believe in Him and trust that our God is faithful to His word and will never forsake us.
When we pray let us first praise, worship, and thank Him. Let us focus our hearts and minds to be closer to Him and to do His will. Repent of our sins and live like His Son Jesus Christ who gave us hope to come to the Lord again. The grace that comes from Him only adds to make our burdens in life happier and lighter. God loves us so much what more can He not give especially if it is for our good. He has already given his Son to atone for our sins and be able to come to the Lord again. Let us approach God with reverence, humility, and faith. He will never forsake us. Let's just trust His will. Let us thank Him every day of our lives, it is such a wonderful blessing.
This, then, is how you should pray:
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. - Matthew 6:9-13 NIV
May the blessing of Almighty God be with you always. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.

  3. I love this! It is so important to understand that God just wants us to have a relationship with Him. We can come to Him and ask for a variety of things, but at the end of the day He knows what is best for us.

  4. I agree with you. Sometimes we pray about something we want and a lot of times we get upset with God for not answering us, but God has his own time and sometimes we don't get the things we pray for because they are not right for us.

Give Thanks To The Holy One What Does The Bible Say About Faith  Ang pananampalataya ay ang katiyakan na matatanggap natin ang mga bagay na inaasahan natin. Nararana
